WE CELEBRATE THE DAY OF THE EUROPEAN LANGUAGES - CELEBRAMOS EL DÍA DE LAS LENGUAS EUROPEAS

 

Desde las Perlas también celebró -como no podía ser de otra forma- este Día Europeo de las Lenguas de forma interactiva, ¿queréis saber cómo?

En esta primera reunión del mes de octubre hemos tenido una doble celebración virtual y on-line, la primera de ellas es la inauguración del Podcast educativo de Onda Cero Ceuta en colaboración con el CEIP José Ortega y Gasset  y a su vez colaborando junto con St. Andrew's Junior College School y el CEIP Ciudad de Ceuta...un logro profesional que una emisora de radio de ámbito nacional incluya en su programación anual una sección educativa y dentro de ésta se haga eco de las actividades y propuestas europeas que desde nuestro proyecto Desde las Perlas...se lleven a cabo. A continuación os dejamos el podcast para que podáis escucharlo.

Podcast totalmente colaborativo en el que nuestros estudiantes son los protagonistas de esta propuesta educativa y que gracias a Onda Cero ya a llegar a todos los rincones de este planeta...

Gracias a tod@s los que han hecho posible esta realidad.

Por otro lado, David desde Irlanda, nos ha hecho partícipes del primer premio que nuestro proyecto ha conseguido a nivel Europeo, del que nos contará con más detalle en el próximo programa de Onda Cero Ceuta....¡Enhorabuena!

APOYO POR PARTE DE LOS EQUIPOS DIRECTIVOS

Proyectos, acciones educativas, propuestas pedagógicas innovadoras o cualquier actividad que se lleva a cabo con ilusión y mucho esfuerzo es necesario que se vea apoyada y sustentada en un marco institucional en el que los equipos directivos de los centros educativos juegan una labor más que importante. 

Es por ello, por lo que desde este foro y en este momento tan complicado se hace necesario reconocer ese apoyo entre compañer@s que aunque desempeñan una labor complementaria siguen valorando el esfuerzo de otr@s por mejorar la acción educativa y los procesos de enseñanza aprendizaje.

Así pues, aprovechamos el logro de nuestro primer reconocimiento desde la Isla Esmeralda hacia nuestro proyecto, proyecto que con mucha ilusión, trabajo y esfuerzo seguimos llevando a cabo con el respaldo de los equipos directivos de los centros:

Our students won a Trophy at the European Language Label Award

Last year our students got the chance to participate in an European project with one school from Spain, they were sharing cultural aspects from both countries, Spain and Ireland. During the school year they did common activities with the aim of give a real use to the language they were learning, as a result they made an amazing digital poster which collected cultural elements like typical food, sports, stories and houses from both countries. 

 

As the digital contents created within the project were very good I decided to join a competition (European Language Label Award) where others school from Ireland were participating. One of the categories from the competition was “Using ICT tools within the classroom for learning a language”, our project fit perfect within that category and you know what?

PODCAST EDUCATIVO DE ONDA CERO CEUTA

Lo hemos logrado...ha sido otro gran esfuerzo pero creo que merece la pena, sin duda alguna....desde Septiembre ONDA CERO CEUTA y el CEIP JOSÉ ORTEGA Y GASSET van "de la mano"  para desarrollar una proyecto de colaboración en el que habra un podcast que incluirá las siguientes secciones:

-SECCIÓN EUROPEA - amplificando la información que se desarrolle sobre el proyecto eTwinning.

-SECCIÓN MEDIO AMBIENTAL - amplificando la información relacionada con el proyecto Jardín de las Hespérides y el proyecto NBS de la Comisión Europea

-SECCIÓN LITERARIA - amplificando la información que se va a crear entorno a la expresión oral a través de cuentos adaptados a varios idiomas: español-inglés-lenguaje de signos

NEW SEASON - NUEVA TEMPORADA DESDE LAS PERLAS

Hola a tod@s, vuelta de vacaciones ya tenemos planificada la nueva temporada 20/21 de este proyecto "Desde las Perlas". El equipo que forma este proyecto -Nacho, David y Juan Carlos - aprovecha esta entrada para desearos a tod@s mucha salud durante esta nueva etapa que esperamos os guste y podáis disfrutarla.

Os podemos adelantar que hoy hemos tenido nuestra primera reunión de esta segunda temporada, una reunión que como todas las que mantenemos son muy fructíferas, por otro lado, también os indicamos que -durante este curso 20/21- tenemos muchas novedades.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS - OBJETIVOS DE DESARROLLO SOSTENIBLE

Within the project our members and partners aims to accomplish SDG's (Sustainable Development Goals) adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 and taken in The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

It  provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. It is really important to consider the situation we are living with the COVID-19 in order to be able to get this objectives.

Find below the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing.

We have to be aware that strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and encourage economic growth, not to forget tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

OUR PROJECT ON THE RADIO - NUESTRO PROYECTO TAMBIÉN EN LA RADIO

It's great to see how projects related to educational actions and activities are broadcasting on the radio as well, and this has happened today with our "Desde las perlas...eTwinning" action.
We keep on working on-line to reduce the effects of COVID-19 in our project...so let's make the final effort.

POSTER ABOUT CULTURAL ASPECTOS OF THE STUDENTS FROM ST. ANDREWS JUNIOR SCHOOL

This week the students from St Andrews Junior School in Dublin have had the opportunity of learning about sports, food, stories and house. They have been working with different resources like interactive worksheets, videos and more.

The aim of these activities was to create a cultural poster using the online tool called padlet and share it with the students from the school Ortega y Gasset en Ceuta. In that way they could see how the life of the children from our school looks like.

The students got to practise their four language skills in Spanish: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

These are the results of their hard work, three different posters, one about the live in Ireland, another with work from our American students and finally the last one with all the work from all the students.

OUR PROJECT ON THE DIGITAL PRESS - NUESTRO PROYECTO EN PRENSA DIGITAL

La prensa digital, más concretamente ceutaactualidad.com, recoge nuestro proyecto, y es que ya son dos proyectos etwinning los llevados a cabo por el Ortega y Gasset, así pues seguimos avanzando en nuestra propuesta educativa que seguro será satisfactoria para la comunidad educativa y para los centros implicados.

These are some of the posters, a lot of them are not here as we did not have the chance to finish them because the circumstances (schools closed). Every single student worked very hard and they really enjoyed working on this project.

POSTERS DE CARNAVAL - CARNIVAL POSTERS

This activity was carried out by the students from St Andrews Junior School. Third, fourth, fifth and sixth class have participated in a researching project about "Carnavales". The aim of this little project was to elaborate a very visual poster with simple information about this festival in Spanish.

This activity had the following stages:

- Research and collect information of "Carnavales" in English.

- Summarise the information into very simple sentences and key words

- Translating a list of connector words from English into Spanish and also the key words selected from the previous stage

- Building simple sentences in Spanish using some verbs, the connector words and the key words.

- Designing the poster and adding the information to it.

The learning goals of this project were the following ones:

- To develop an understanding of the Spanish language syntax's, as well as to build simple sentences to deliver and communicate information.

- To extend the vocabulary

- To develop speaking and communication skills through presenting the poster to the younger classes.

- To promote an awareness of the Spanish culture and develop an interest towards it.

Después de la votación de los niños y niñas de los colegios del José Ortega y Gasset y del St. Andrews College, tenemos un logo ganador que nos representará en el proyecto.

ACTIVITY: DESIGNING A LOGO FOR OUR PROJECT

In the last three weeks the second and third class students from St Andrew's College have been drawing pictures which will be the candidate for the logo of this project. The idea was "drawing building, symbols, national elements from the different cities/countries with the aim of creating sense of connections between both schools".

The first picture was drawn by B., she decided to draw "La casa de los dragones de Ceuta" and one of the bridges from Dublin, also the two countries flags, Spain and Ireland.

The second picture was drawn by J., he also drew "La casa de los Dragones de Ceuta"

The last one but no less, it was drawn by C., she wanted to draw "El parque mediterráneo de Ceuta" and she chose a shamrock as a national symbol.

All the different classes which participated in the activity were very excited about it and they all did a great job. Well done everybody!!!

ACTIVIDAD: CREAMOS UN LOGO PARA NUESTRO PROYECTO - ACTIVITY: WE CREATE A LOGO

Para involucrar a los más pequeños en el proyecto y tratar la cultura con ellos, en clase hemos estado viendo lugares típicos de Dublín y Ceuta, paisajes, comidas, tradiciones... Después los niños han realizado un dibujo, de cada clase saldrá un finalista y entre los finalistas se votará al dibujo ganador que será la imagen del proyecto.

Gracias a la tecnología y la cooperación entre los miembros del proyecto, hemos hecho posible que los niños de Ceuta y Dublín sean consciente de lo diferentes e iguales que somos, las perlas están preparadas para la gran aventura.

ÚNETE A LAS PERLAS - JOIN THE PEARLS

La curiosidad es uno de los elementos clave del aprendizaje, teniendo en cuenta que la enseñanza de una lengua gana importancia cuando se hace en un contexto real, es relevante la creación de proyectos destinados a la colaboración con otros países donde se habla la lengua que se está aprendiendo, al mismo tiempo que se fomenta el respeto hacia diferentes lenguas y culturas. Con estas premisas nace el proyecto “Desde la Perla Esmeralda a la Perla del Mediterráneo” en el que los niños y niñas de Dublín y Ceuta, van a buscar, compartir y descubrir experiencias sobre maneras de vivir, obras artísticas y literarias.

Dejando volar su imaginación y creatividad los alumnos van a crear y exponer diferentes productos finales como lapbooks, cuentos y más contenido usando el inglés y el español de forma significativa. Acompáñanos en nuestra aventura, únete a las perlas.
